Tema principal\u0103 pentru anul 2018 este dezvoltarea durabil\u0103 \u0219i rezilien\u021ba comunit\u0103\u021bilor locale \u0219i a organiza\u021biilor din sectorul public. \u00cen ultimii ani, au existat numeroase utiliz\u0103ri disparate ale termenilor de sustenabilitate \u0219i rezilien\u021b\u0103 \u2013 unii autori \u0219i practicieni pretind c\u0103 cele dou\u0103 concepte sunt similare \u00een timp ce al\u021bii consider\u0103 c\u0103 sunt total diferite. Sustenabilitatea este definit\u0103 de obicei prin intermediul considerentelor de mediu, sociale \u0219i economice.<\/p><p>Rezilien\u021ba, pe de alt\u0103 parte, este privit\u0103 ca abilitatea unui sistem de a se preg\u0103ti pentru amenin\u021b\u0103ri, de a absorbi impactul, de a se recupera \u0219i de a se adapta dup\u0103 un stres persistent sau un eveniment perturbator. O comunitate ideal\u0103, o economie sau o afacere va fi at\u00e2t durabil\u0103, c\u00e2t \u0219i rezilient\u0103.<\/p><p>Abordarea noastr\u0103 este c\u0103 durabilitatea \u0219i rezilien\u021ba pot \u0219i ar trebui s\u0103 func\u021bioneze \u00eempreun\u0103, consolid\u00e2ndu-se reciproc. Fiecare comunitate local\u0103 are un set diferit de circumstan\u021be geografice, sociale, economice \u0219i demografice, ceea ce \u00eenseamn\u0103 c\u0103 este necesar\u0103 o abordare local\u0103 pentru a sprijini comunit\u0103\u021bile s\u0103 prospere, s\u0103 fie mai durabile, mai rezistente \u0219i s\u0103n\u0103toase \u00eentr-un context \u00een continu\u0103 schimbare.
